Cannot awaken after "sleep/hibernate"
After upgrading to Windows 7 Professional, when the computer goes into "sleep/hibernate", the screen goes black and the only way to get it working is to restart the computer via the power button. I have gone into the control panel and changed the settings for 'sleep/hibernate' to never. But the issue remains. Does anyone have any suggestions?

First check for the compatibility of your hardware using the HCL website, or even more easy, using the upgrade advisor. If your ardware is compatible, please check if there is an update available for the bios of your motherboard. Also check for updated drivers for your chipset and graphics card. Run Windows update to obtain all important fixes. In general refer to this article about troubleshooting hibernation (altough for Vista, it also applies to 7)Windows 7 also includes a tool (the windows power troubeshooter) which possibly can help you avoid the error. If al this does not solve the issue, the issue might caused by modified systemfiles, the system filechecker can resolve this.
